Working on floral watercolors.

Since moving back to Vermont I feel the tug or maybe my muse whispering in my ear to get back to my watercolors. Focusing back to creating realism with watercolors and painting botanical flowers and Vermont landscapes.

Original watercolor botanical floral art
Original floral watercolor of red tulip.

A single red tulip garden flower watercolor with detailed delicate realism is an original painting by Laurie Rohner.
My red tulip, a botanical original art floral watercolor, represents my love of botanical artwork. It is so real you feel you can scoop it up and hold it.

Great to give as a housewarming gift but why not give to your sweetheart.
My flower stays alive forever.

Can be framed with mat and frame or mounted on mat under glass.
I also love the new way to frame watercolors by adhering the artwork to a board sealing with non yellowing spray and framing as you would any oil painting.
Happy to help with framing options, please ask.

Flowers and berries help fairies assist you.

Take the worthiness that is yours, and let the “Fairies of the Universe” assist you. Stop taking so much responsibility upon yourself, and live happily ever after. Shorten that crevasse between where you are and where you want to be, on every subject, to now, now, now, now, now. Ride the wave. Just pluck the fruit… You don’t have to be the one who puts it in the ground any more. You can just skip across the top of things and pluck the fruit of all of the things you want. “Oh, fruit. Oh, delicious this, delicious this, delicious this, delicious this.” In other words, it’s all right there for you; it’s ready for you to receive it as fast and as soon as you will vibrationally let it in. —Abraham

This is one of the prints available but I am adding more.

Work in the sense of joyously moving forward.

People will say, “Well, I have to work on my goals,” or, “I have to work on my visualization.” And we want you to think more about holding the vision because it is pleasurable to hold the vision, not because you’re trying to make the vision work in order to get to some place that you’re not now standing. “How much should I work?” We would say, work in the sense of joyously moving forward.  —Abraham Hicks

Recently I finished two paintings for a client.  I finished the paintings according to what I thought she had specified, took some photos and sent them to her for her approval. I heard back from her and my heart sank. She was not happy. Her vision was different then what I had painted. I read over what she was unhappy about and discovered her points were what I had also struggled with when working on the paintings. I knew I had to hear her words with love and not be offended or hurt because she now was upset. I sat and studied the paintings and discovered she was absolutely right and in every thing she found wrong was exactly where I had forced the painting to work. I learned many years before never completely finish a painting until the client says they like it. Now I was thankful I didn’t because I could rework the areas.

I had a new outlook and knew the solution was easy to fix. Why? I saw joy in the paintings and I felt joy in the work.  If not for the words from my client I would not have done my best work for these paintings. When I would think about them I would not feel complete but the opposite, I would feel I did not give joy and love to the work and I would have felt I failed myself. For me ii was paintings but for you it could be a whole world of infinite possibilities you do giving you a sense of joy. In this moment is it reading these words? An hour from now is it giving a child a bath, a dog a walk, saying hello to an old friend, raking some leaves, sitting alone with your self and loving the person inside? We all have goals and that is nice believe me I have too many goals. The key is no matter what the goal dream or visualization is do it from the hear, from a sense of joyous energy and you will feel it all come together.

In the painting Garden 1 I painted hollyhocks, coneflowers, bee balm, herbs and muscari and some bees with a hint of blue sky.

This is the second painting for my client Garden 2. In this painting it is a continuing landscape from the first with larkspur sweet pea, Queen Ann lace, herbs, coneflower and iris and don’t forget bees on a blue sky.

A last note is my client sent me a wow so much better than the images and she was absolutely thrilled.  This is joy realized.

What is the worst thing that can happen if?

“According to A Course in Miracles, there are only two basic emotions: one is fear, the other is love. You may fear the disapproval of others. Take that risk and you’ll discover that you receive more approval when you don’t seek it than when you do. You may fear the unknown. Take that risk as well. Wander in there, asking yourself, ‘What is the worst thing that can happen if this doesn’t work out?’ The truth is that you will just move beyond it. You’re not going to starve to death or be tortured if it doesn’t work out… Fear knocked at the door. Love answered and no one was there.” Wayne Dyer

I thought this was a nice reminder that no matter what political games may be at hand that fearing the worst is nothing if answered with love.

For a brighter moment here is a watercolor I worked on because of a custom order for two boxes with September’s month flowers. September has two one is a morning glory and the other an aster. I love both these blossoms and had a bunch of fun working on the boxes for twin girls. The watercolor is available at Laurie Rohner Studio. Remember this is an original watercolor and painted by hand with detailed ink work. It is fun and whimsical. What do you think?

I added the wren and each box is different and uniquely one of a kind. Inside the lid is the name date weight and length of the babies. This is a very special keepsake that will grow with the age of the child. It is what I like the best about these boxes.

Start telling a better-feeling story.

Start telling a better-feeling story about the things that are important to you. Do not write your story like a factual documentary, weighing all the pros and cons of your experience, but instead tell the uplifting, fanciful, magical story of the wonder of your own life and watch what happens. It will feel like magic as your life begins to transform right before yours eyes, but it is not by magic. It is by the power of the Laws of the Universe and your deliberate alignment with those Laws.

Excerpted from Money and the Law of Attraction — 3/31/09

Today our society is telling stories with too much information about themselves and about others. In all these different versions how many are truthful and how many tell an awesome story. Inside each of us is an amazing magical story. Why do we not tell those stories? Probably because we are fearful of what might happen. Will we still be liked (not loved) I mean liked for the authentic story we tell. Will people accept me or understand? What is not understood is it is not the factual story the Universe is interested in, it is the story of feelings and emotions and how do you see ourself in this enormous wonderful existence on this tiny little ball called Earth. The story is about your connection with you and the deliberate alignment with the Universe. An alignment made up of equal parts of emotion (feelings) body (physical) and soul (energy). We are existing in physical bodies filled with emotions and at the core or the engine propelling us forward is a spiritual soul. There is a saying I love and it says Believe in yourself and magic will happen.
