My studio moved to a new location. I am located in Montrose PA. Sometimes it can be scary picking up everything and following your instincts. That is exactly what I did. I had tired of Vermont and its many problems. I saw no future if I stayed. I decided to head to Pennsylvania.
I was in search of a smaller home, one that you didn’t need a second mortgage just to heat it. I found it. This home is perfect for me. I have a cellar, a medium-sized main floor for living, and a large second floor for the studio. The outside gave me a blank slate for some gardens. Need gardens to paint, right? And it sits on a hill overlooking the countryside.
Do I take the chance and buy the home? I needed to move fast with an offer and relied on others to give me information. Out of the blue, my Vermont house sold. I believe if you listen hard enough and long enough you find the right answers to your questions. I did. This home is perfect with all of the imperfections I found a home.
Still unpacking. Gradually finding things I am getting the studio and house in shape. Soon there will be paintings being added to the shop along with some newly painted gifts and painted furniture.
As I drove here from Vermont I came across a car in front of me with the license plate LLR, and I chuckled. They were my mother’s initials. Nice to know they still watch out over us even if they are not with us anymore.

Have you seen this new custom handmade sculpted woodland fairy house with a thatched roof?
A thatched cottage from the pages of an English country side is filled with woodland fairy furniture and even a canvas original artwork by a fairy believer, Laurie Rohner. How magical is that?
Inside there is a sitting area with tables and on the other side is a table and chair with leaf place mats. There are three windows, one above the table, another on the back and one in the loft to let the moon and sun shine in over the watercolor bed found in the loft.
The roof is cedar and has a thatched overlay and the walls are hand embellished with bark moss and stone. There are bits of sea glass and shells throughout. Everything is sealed with a lacquer spray.
This is a custom handmade woodland fairy house sculpted from wood, cedar, moss, sea glass, pebbles and natural finds.
Dimensions: 12 x 8 x 11 inches
Weight 5lbs.
This is a very well made fairy house and is constructed with cedar and pine first. The moss bark and pebbles are applied afterwards. I always allow room for you to add what is inspiring to you and of course the fairies dwelling inside.

This is a new technique I am using. I use watercolors gouache and line work much like my watercolor illustrations on specially surfaced grounds. The stool is lacquered and waxed to protect the painting. I find that watercolors have wonderful pigments and enjoy the end results.
Hand painted furniture with botanical garden flowers wildflowers and a nature saying is custom painted on this 30 inch bar stool made of oak and hardwoods. The top of the stool is painted with bright cheerful botanical garden flowers, wildflowers and a saying I really like, Nature Smiles With Flowers. The blue sky is dabbled giving the illusion of a summer day.
