Use a painted rock to mark your herbs.

Painted Herb Markers
Painted Herb Markers

I am forever loosing herb plant markers until I discovered this simple trick for DIY‘ers. Since we live on this vast planet called Earth rocks are pretty plentiful. If you cannot find rocks to use you can stop by any garden or home improvement store and pick up a bag of river rocks.

Clean your rock with soap and water and let air dry. Not in the bright sun since you don’t want to back them. Now your can paint. You can use a paint pen or any acrylic paint with a brush. House paint is fine too. Add you words, name of pant or a decoration to the rock. Let the paint dry and seal the rock with a few coats of varnish or lacquer. You can use water or oil based products it is up to you. I use whatever I have in the house. Once the rocks are dried (one to two days) you can place them at the bottom of the plant either in the pot or in the garden.

Can it be any simpler?
